Invizimals

Now this looks sweet. Invizimals is a new PSP game that uses Augmented Reality (I know, I know, another augmented reality post). The games premise is a lot like pokemon. You use the camera attached to the PSP and look for monsters to capture. Once you find one, you can catch it using your “trap”.

Now here’s the cool part. Once you catch an Invizimal, you can use it to battle against your friends in an augmented world. You can attack by doing various things like blowing into your mic to preform a wind storm attack, shake your PSP for an earthquake attack, or wave your hand in front of the camera to brew up storm clouds for a lightning attack. You can learn new skills for your Invizimal as they level up and eventually evolve, just like pokemon. This thing looks awesome as hell. Check out the added screen shots and the video below to get the full idea.

How did the owners of Pokemon not pick this up! Honestly, a camera accessory which looks just like a poke ball.

This is really great stuff, it is interesting to see a trend forming around Aug which is the exploration and discovery within your living space.
